Someone who guides you through care.
Step by step.
AutaVia tells you out loud and in your language what to do now – with audio and short videos for every step. Paced, understandable, with clear limits on who may do what.
Put on compression stocking
Lay the leg flat. Turn the stocking inside out up to the heel, then position the heel exactly.
Paced workflow
A clear sequence of steps with realistic timing instead of searching and asking. You always see where you are.
Audio and video instead of reading
In care, both hands are busy. Every step is guided by voice and shown in a short video.
In your language
The entire guidance, AI-supported, in the language the caregiver speaks.
Home care carries the main load – with the thinnest support.
The vast majority of people in need of care in Germany are cared for at home. Exactly where care is least standardised, professional support is weakest.
Onboarding is expensive and slow
New staff learn by shadowing. That ties up an experienced professional for days to weeks.
Language barriers block qualification
The hurdle lies in communication, not in ability. German-language standards are a bottleneck.
Competence boundaries are unclear
Who may do what is regulated by law but rarely present in everyday life – with risk in both directions.
Workflows are not paced
A visit without structure takes longer, varies in quality and is harder to document.
The care visit is not looked up, it is guided.
Gesprochene Anleitung, kurzes Video, sichtbare Restzeit. Ein Tipp beendet den Schritt.
04 — Dokumentiert
Der Ablauf dokumentiert sich beim Abarbeiten selbst – nicht abends aus dem Gedächtnis.
Every role sees exactly the steps it is authorised for.
AutaVia knows the qualification of the signed-in person. Activities reserved for a higher qualification level are not just hidden but marked as such – including a note on who may take them over.
For everyone who provides care at home.
The same guidance, at different depths – depending on who takes on the visit.
Family carers
No training, high responsibility. Concrete step-by-step guidance and the certainty of doing the right thing.
Newcomers to care
A guided start without a professional constantly at your side, with clear competence boundaries.
Staff with another first language
Professionally suited, slowed down by language. Complete guidance in your own language.
Registered nurses
Paced workflow, less instruction effort for colleagues, documentation runs alongside.
Up to €70 a month from the care insurance fund.
Since 1 January 2026, the care insurance reimburses digital care applications far more broadly than before. The budget is not offset against care allowance, benefits in kind or the relief amount.
AutaVia is in the approval procedure as a digital care application. Reimbursement requires inclusion in the BfArM DiPA directory. Legal basis: §§ 40a, 40b, 78a SGB XI in the version in force since 1 January 2026.
Two routes, two payers. AutaVia keeps them cleanly apart.
Your patients do not need a prescription for the app itself – it is a benefit of the care insurance fund under SGB XI. What you can prescribe is home nursing care, which AutaVia then guides and documents. The two interlock but run on separate routes.
The route to prescribed home nursing care
Issue the prescription
Diagnosis, measure, frequency and duration. First prescriptions usually up to 14 days, follow-up prescriptions longer.
Submit to the health insurance fund
Within a few working days of issue – then the fund covers the costs already during the review.
Approval
The health insurance fund reviews, if necessary via the Medical Service. Rejections are justified.
Scan in AutaVia
The care service scans the prescription. The paced care programme is created from it automatically.
Progress back to the practice
Execution, wound progress and abnormalities come back in a structured way – in time for the follow-up prescription.
What you get out of it
Fewer call-backs about how to carry out measures, documented role compliance and a record that justifies the follow-up prescription professionally instead of guessing it. With the extended competences of nursing professionals under the BEEP Act it stays traceable who took over which measure.
Information material for your practice
Two pages on the distinction between DiPA and home nursing care, plus a patient sheet for the application to the care insurance fund.
Request practice materialShorter onboarding, verifiable role compliance.
Alongside the application for people in need of care, AutaVia is available as a tool for services: role and competence control, onboarding module, prescription scan and visit documentation – with a dashboard for management.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a medical prescription?
No. Access to a digital care application works via an informal application to the care insurance fund.
Which languages are available?
At launch: German, Turkish, Polish, Romanian and Tagalog. More languages are added continuously, as multilingualism is built into the entire system.
Does AutaVia replace the care service?
No. AutaVia guides what your own qualification allows and makes visible which activity a professional has to take over.
What happens to my data?
Usage and progress data are collected in compliance with data protection law and for a defined purpose, to scientifically prove the nursing benefit. The data protection concept follows the BfArM criteria.
